We have a Kenmore side by side refrigerator with a built in ice maker model 253.56514400. A couple of days ago we had a lake on our kitchen floor. I opened up the freezer door and saw water running out of the ice maker full force. The water was coming out of the dispenser and out from the bottom of the freezer door. I had to run down to turn off the water to the ice maker. The freezer is working and there were ice cubes in the ice cube box. It was like the ice line came off from the ice maker. What is my problem?

TEN THUMBS- I would check the WATER INLET VALVE >IT Probably IS DEFECTIVE:: YOU will find it on the back bottom ,faceing back of fridg, right side; remove the felt dust cover of the back bottom , unplug the oower cord to the fridg, remove the old one and get a new one strickly for that fridg, :: replace and hook wires back up ,replace dust cover
Plug fridge, back in ,turn the water back on , it will take a while for the air to get out of water line before making ice again;; un less you know how to or someone that does to bleed the air out;; HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT ::HAVE A NICE DAY AND GOD BLESS ::F.B.E.
