I'm having trouble filing my taxes for the first time. The W-2 form I received from my employer shows no numbers for boxes 1 & 2. Boxes 3-6 have numbers. My HR department advised me to call the IRS but I can't get through because of this weekend/holiday. For 2008 I was a minor working part time. I made roughly $2500 over a 3 month period. I am exempt on both state and federal withholdings.

I am using Turbotax to do my taxes. The problem came when I tried to e-file my federal and the program denied me by pointing out that Box 1 of the W-2 cannot be less than $1. I'm at a loss for what to do other than to call the IRS sometime this week.

If this is your only income, then you are not required to file. You have no federal tax withheld, so even if you file you will not get any tax refund.
