I have been dying my hair for atleats 2 years now. I was told by my hair dresser that I needed to "strip my hair" so that I could get some of my black hair lightin so I could dye my hair a lighter color. So I did what she said and I added my new color and it turned or REALLY BAD!! it only took out the black around my roots and some around my sides! So know I have Caramel Roots and Blue Black Tips! I am so freaking out... I don't know what happened or how to fix it!

What did you use to strip your hair? You can use hair color removers to strip hair, or you can do a "double process which is bleaching out the old hair color and then adding back the base hair colors that make up the shade you want.

I dyed my pretty light blonde hair to a light brown. It turend out a greeenish gray color. I wasn't to get it back to a blonde- but not as light. I understand I have to go to a salon. But what are they going to do

Some brown dyes have a green base in them, which can cause light hair to turn green. Also, applying a brown color over blonde hair may result in a green cast. If you want to go from blonde to a decent brown color, it will require a 2 step coloring process. Blonde hair has no pigment in it, and if you pour a box of brown color over it, you will end up with unwanted shades. You would need to apply a red color to your hair and then color if brown in order to go from blonde to brown.
The hairstylist will mix a red-base hair color poduct to counter-act the green cast in your hair. If you want to go back to being blonde, they will need to strip your hair, and apply a toner to achieve the color you want.
