We signed a contract to buy a home and seller has agreed to all its terms. We gave contract to seller's attorney for their signature. Is there a time limit in which they must sign the contract and return it to our attorney for it to become executed? We signed the contract on 2/9/09.

It should be written into the Contract. Do you have a copy?

Couple things. If they DIDN'T sign your offer, they DIDN'T agree to it's terms.

The next thing is your offer should have had a TIME LIMIT for them to sign or make a counter. If it's open ended, then you're in trouble. You can't leave it like that.

Your attorney should have prevented that from happening... What's that? You don't have an attorney?? Well, there you go.
