I'm doing a basement bathroom reno and am just in the middle of the demo stage. My question is that once I removed the toled the inside of the flange is corroded and uneven. It was leaking a tiny bit but not a lot, should I replace the flange or just use a extra wide wax gasket to seal it. If tit was in a wood floor I would just replace it but since it's in concrete I'm looking for a easier way.I just don't want to be done the new floor and realize that it still leaks.

Check out your local plumbing supplyer, Not home depot or Lowe's, I am pretty sure you can buy a flange that fits over the existing one

Before I replaced the flange I would purchase a wax ring with a funnel, (see image) and reinstall the toilet. (I'll put up a image of how a typical installation goes down. Let me know how you make out. Good luck and thanks for rating my answer. Tom
