Hello sir,
I have oracle apps installed on 1 computer with linux os and different tools of oracle like toad,report buider,form builder installed on my laptop with windows xp as os.
I want to connect both computer so that I can connect oracle tools with oracle apps making one as server(computer with oracle apps ).
Please give me some solution ,its very urgent.

Do you have the Oracle server installed on one of these machines? Installing the support applications for Oracle server is only part of the tasks you need to perform.

You can not make a machine "act" like an Oracle server, it must "be" a server. You would have to purchase and install Oracle server for this to happen.

Having a machine act like a server can have so many implications. Do you want it to be a central security authority for logins and file access? Do you want to be a network server that provides DNS and DHCP? It could be a print server or in your case, a database server.
