NOPE... not possible to convert a conventional shower into a power shower. Power showers come as a complete unit.

Ken, I don't know if I understand your terminology. Your links aren't "power showers" but regular shower with two shower heads ( rain shower and /or hand-held ).

Power shower, as I know it, is an unit that has all shower features HomeOwner would want in her shower. One brand that comes to my mind is Ariel. It is a self-contained unit including glass door, steam shower, rain shower, hand-held shower, set of body sprays and fixed shower head. I don't know where you are located - but Ariel shower are an excellent units and you get the most features for least money. Let me know if this is what you meant...

Ken's 2nd link is a power shower (see picture)... not common here in the USA.. not yet anyway.

As stated at my first post... not possible to convert a conventional shower into a power shower.

That's bril mark, exactly what I need to know - and unfortunately what I thought. Unfortunately I cannot afford a large shower unit all swinging all dancing but would like an "over-head" large shower head as in my first post but with the power of a power-shower... I'm in the UK just so you know!

Hi Ken:

One way to increase volume for a powerful conventional shower is to install 3/4" hot and cold supply lines and then purchase a 3/4" mixing valve....such as the GROHE mixing valve (see picture of the rough in valve... many trim options to choose from). You would also need a 3/4" volume control unit.

Then get one of those rain shower heads and remove the volume restrictor (see picture) in the neck of the shower valve...

That should get you pretty close to the FEEL of a power shower... ;)
