Well I am 18 years old. I am sexually active and I am worried that I might have something and I do not know what to do.
I had sex about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and we started without a condom, and then put one on. I know it wasn't the smartest thing. But I now have red bumps around my vaginal opening, and I am worried. They are itchy, and when it all started I had a burning "sensation" when I peed or when I would wipe. I let it go for a couple of days before I took a mirror to look and see what was going on.
When I did that I found like two or three red bumps around the opening. They are not painful anymore, but they do itch. Does anyone know what this could be? Please help me, I'm very nervous and do not know what to do or what it could be : / help!

I afraid you're going to have to be a bit more detailed. How large are the bumps? Were they ever filled with a fluid, like blisters?
It sounds like it could be herpes- the burning when you urinate, the itching. The best thing for you to do is go to your doc. They can test you for herpes. They'll probably do a swab of the bumps and a blood test. Make sure you disclose the date of your unprotected sex, so they know which test to administer. Some tests are reliable for older infections, some for newer. If it does turn out to be herpes, your doctor can put you on an anti-viral medication which will greatly reduce your number of out breaks, and reduce the chances of you spreading it to others.
Take care and good luck...

I don't mean to scare you but it sounds like you may have herpes. You should go to your doctor ASAP and get tested while the bumps are still there. Goodluck.

I forgot to mention a few things. If this wasn't your first unprotected sexual experience, the infection (if it's herpes) could have been lying dormant in your body from a previous exposure. It can do so for an extended period. A person can transmit herpes to their partner's genitals if they have cold sores and perform oral sex on their partner. Does your partner ever get cold sores?
I do hope you make a doctor's appointment...
Take care...

You could also be allergic to latex.

You could also be allergic to latex.
If I was allergic to latex though wouldn't this happen to me every time? I would love it if that was the case. But wouldn't this happen to me every time I had used a condom? Or not necessarily?

You could be developing an allergy, which means that it may not happen every time.

I have to agree with a the other posts... sounds like it could be herpes. You should definitely go to your doctor.

Actually they told me the same thing "that I may have an allergy to latex" a couple weeks later I got some blood work done, I was having the burning sensation during urination and itching in one particular spot, found out not too long ago I have herpes, it is contagious by skin to skin contact, good luck, you should request some blood work and let us know what they tell you.

hey guys..so thank you so much for all your help! i was kinda freaking out, and still am. i did end up going to my doctor and she said that she thought that i had herpes[like you said] but that she was going to run the stuff through the lab and call me and let me know.well its been almost a week now, and still no call.so i am not 100% sure that i have herpes or not, but she put me on medicine, so i most likely probablly do :( if anyone could help me or give me advice on how to deal with it, or when i should/shouldnt have sex and all that that would mean alot! thank you again for your help, i probablly wouldnt have gone to the doctors without you telling me to!

Well it was difficult when they told me I had it, but if you do you just got to look at it like it could have been worse, there are worse diseases out there and herpes won't kill you, in fact what made me feel a lot better was knowing that it is as common or even more common then diabetes, it still hasn't registered that well that I have it but I am learning to cope with it day by day, best of luck, let us know!

Is it OK if we don't go to the doctor? And just tell the partners we're with
