My bathroom light has stopped working, changed bulbs twice no luck, check wiring in pull cord switch line showing voltage regardless if light is on or off? Disconnected fan from rose thought that was problem-not but it did get pull cord working properly as in if I put light on the live to the bulb works but the bulb still won`t light! Hope I`ve made myself clear what am I missing it`s been fine up to this

If this is a lamp with a pull cord switch, the "line" wire should show voltage regardless of whether the light is on or off. In that type of lamp, the switch is in the lamp. If this is the situation then the lamp's switch seems to be faulty.

I think I'd need a little clearer explanation of exactly what you've done to diagnose further.
