I am in the process of writing a book. I think it's going along well, but I want to send what I have to someone first before I go any farther on it, because I want to know what people think about it before I finish it. I don't want to get it finished and then have to go through the whole book and redo almost all of it. So if anyone knows what to do, please help.

It is a catch22 ryan. Before sending your book around to publishers you have to finish your book before they will review it. Many authors go through this process, re-write, re-write just about anything the publishers want. Of course, with computer use, this is quite possible without downtime.
I am afraid you will have to go through this process too, eventually, without writing part and wanting a review. Sorry, it doesn't work that way.
Have a friend look at your book and give you a critique. Do you know someone who has a book shop who is fairly familiar with the written word who can help you.
