Respected Sir,

My name is Moazzam Ali Khan and I am a Canadian Nationality holder. I have been living in Toronto , Canada since 15 years; I am associated with marketing profession as senior marketing executive. I am a law abiding resident here and respected in my local community as an honourable man.

I like Britain as I see it as a centre of economic hub of the world. It provides easy access to Europe as well as Middle East and South East Asia along with numerous routes to America and Canada . Therefore, I wish to settle in Britain with my family. I want to enquire you about the detailed procedure that I have to go through in order to achieve my goal. Moreover, I would want to know my rights and benefits that I can claim as British resident.

I’ll look forward to your reply.

Sincerely

Moazzam Ali Khan

Well as a Canadian citizen you have no special treatment unless you have family that live in the UK or your parents came to Canada from the UK.

It sounds like you would be able to apply as a skilled worker. Look into the application procedures at the link below:

UK Border Agency | Can I live in the United Kingdom? (http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukresidency/eligibility/)

Hi Mozzam,

Actually I know very little about specific application procedures for UK Immigration. I have saved the links and know the basic application categories but would not be able to provide much assistance in actually filing the correct documents.

If you are really lost you may consider looking in the yellow pages for immigration lawyers and finding one that specializes in UK immigration. But read through the UK government immigration website first, sometimes immigration documents are a lot simpler than a lawyer wants you to believe.
