Yep, look up a add for an attorney and call them.
1. if you know where the other person is, no you can not use news paper posting.
2. you will be required to do a level of searching.
3. since you have to even ask, you will not know the size of add, which newpaper it has to be in, and how long it has to run, so you will need legal help
4. If the other person can not be found, it will be a harder court issue, and you will not be able to do it yourself.

Since marriage is a legal institution regulated by the state the only way a marriage can be dissolved is through a legal process involving the courts.
Announcing that there is a court proceeding in which dissolving a marriage is an issue does not require publishing notice. Publication can, however, be a substitute for having the court papers delivered personally to your spouse (which is required in all court proceedings). But this is always a "last resort" method of serving and you have to first try to have the papers personally delivered and then, and only then, can you serve by publishing a notice in the newspaper. Even when you have good cause to serve by publishing a notice in the paper (because you've unsuccessfully tried everything else first) you are required to ask a judge to issue an order that allows you to serve by publication. You cannot do it without the order and if you do the publication is invalid.
That's how it works.
