Hey! I am 19 years old and married. My husband is going to be deploying with the next year to Iraq. We are trying to have a baby before he goes, or at least me being pregnant. We have been trying for 7 months. I went to the doctor in January and got put on Provera because I hadn't had a period in 4 months. I am now 4 days late with a negative pregancy test. My doctors are talking about sending me to a fertility clinic. Does anyone have any tips for getting pregnant? Why I haven't gotten pregnant or gone through the same thing? I am really sad because I would be seeking a fertility doctor at the age of 19. Endometriosis and ovarian cysts run in my family. I have also had a positive pregnancy test, followed by a negative test 5 days later. Any suggestions??

If you had a positive pregnancy test at one point, only to have it become negative later, chances are you had a very early loss. Many women will experience this, but they usually aren't aware of it.
Did this occur during the seven months of trying?
It sounds like your doctor is being very proactive, and whether it is necessary at this stage remains to be seen. While most couples will become pregnant earlier, it is not unusual for it take a year or so for many others.
If you have had periods again while on the Provera, I would give it several more days and try another test if your period still doesn't show up.
A reproductive endocrinologist will often be better able to conduct further testing to determine if there is a concern or not. Did your first doctor do any testing for you and for your partner? That would be the first step.
It may be just a case of getting your cycles more regular for awhile and giving it some more time.
