I had a baby 7 weeks ago and have not got my periods yet! I stopped bleeding 4 weeks after having my baby and I've had sex twice since but he didn't come inside me. Could I be pregnant again? I am not breastfeeding!

It's always possible to get pregnant when having sex, whether he ejaculates inside of you or not.

Periods don't always return like clockwork after the birth of a child. It is possible for it to take up to a year to become regular again. However, this does not mean that you are not ovulating. You can still get pregnant.

So, if you are not ready to be pregnant again, and it isn't recommended to become pregnant within a year of a birth, please use protection.

I second what J_9 said. I'll just add this...

If you stopped bleeding just three weeks ago then your period might return as early as one week from now. And especially since you're not breastfeeding, you should discuss a form of birth control with your doctor sooner rather than later.

In the meantime I highly suggest using condoms because the pull out method is not actually a form of birth control and is highly ineffective.

It could be potentially dangerous for you and any child conceived this soon after giving birth. Give your body some time to rest and heal.
