I'm stuck. My system had rebooted automatically after downloading some vista updates and then returned with all the windows task bar icons all bunched up to the right, with a lot of space left for more on the left.

I've tried display themes and changing it, didn't work. Tried quite a lot and still did not work, it did work to irritate me with the changes on where things were..

Help would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to be scrolling through tiny icons and then looking through lists to find what I need.

There are two vertical rows of dots (6 rows of 3 each row) that define the outer limits of the task bar. Drag the left most set of dots to the left as far as you need and the icons get larger as you go.

Thanks! Timing has it, but I just figured it out. It was a form of 'refreshing'.. just removed the quick launch tool bar, applied that and it returned to normal and then reapplied the quick launch.
