Is the E: an internal drive in your laptop or an external drive attached by USB?

It's an INTERNAL unit, that came with the Dell. Win Trb... reports 'device functioning fine'.

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.

I have NOT made any chnges, since purchase. Just started... trbleshooter, for the E: drive, would be helpful.

The situation, at present, dictates buying a NEW CD/RW drv, to see if that corrects it.
