I got married to a Jamaican woman in 2005 and we have gone through the immigration process. I also adopted her son and he is now in the US. How do I go about getting the "shaft" she dose work and makes about the same amount of money I do. Also he son's bio father is also in the US now from Jamaica and has visited. I know this because the cops had to be called last time he was in my house for striking my wife while I was away.
For all I know he hasn't giving up any parental right to his son. So who is liable for child support him or me since we are both working in the US?

If you have legally adopted the child, it means his biological father has nothing to do with this child, no parental right, no custody and no child support. It's now responsibility of you and your wife.
If you sponsored immigrant visa for the child, and not legally adopted him, his mother is solely responsible for child custody, child support, parental rights, etc.

So he can still come around and play daddy and do whatever before and after I get divorced and not have to shell out a dime?

What exactly is the status of this child. Did you legally adopted him? In plain word, when you adopted a child, you take all responsibilities in raising him/her. If you don't like the bio father around, you have the right to kick the guy out of your house.

So the sole responsibility is on his mother. It's the US consulate's protocol to have the bio father signed a consent and abandon parental, and child custody rights when issued immigrant visa.
You must discuss this issue with your wife. She should not let her ex be around. He has no legal rights in this child, if he is still around you can call the cops.. and if it doesn't stop him, get restraining order, etc.
