We live in a manufactured home and need to replace the bathtub foot lock tub drain system. We've taken the top off (easyenough) but don't know how to remove the plastic cylindar and whatever else is connected to it. I've looked all over the internet but the only discriptions I can find are the "lever" type to remove. Can any one help me? Please. Thank you in advance.

You need to remove it by going counterclockwise. They are hard to remove.

Go to Home Depot and buy Drain Removal Tool, Insert the tool inside the drain, grab it with channel locks and turn it CCW. If you plan on replacing entire assembly, including rough, you will have to get under / behind the tub. It is a nasty work for novice plumber - but it is a nice project for Home Owner. Let us know if you need more help...

What are you planing to put in ?

I have put up several "foot lock" drains,(see images). Tell me which one you have. Back to you, Tom
