My understanding the DOD does not remove it, you should talk to the employment specialist as to possible retest dates.

But to be very very frank, with the large number of applications, once you are rejected for drugs, I doubt you will ver get a rehire

http://www.disa.com/document_downloads/SAP_GUIDELINES.pdf

This is a downloadable file that tells you everything you need to know about DOT, SAP and Yes you can be rehired after you complete their evaluation and SAP keeps your test results on file for 5 years.

The first few pages are requirements for SAPs and then you get into the meat of things for stuff you want to know such as how many times you will get retested, how to be rehired, etc.

Good luck! America needs more good hard working men.

I failed a disa test for one company but now have anew job and have to take a disa test. Just wondering if disa will kick out my new nest even though I pass it. Need an answer before I go take new test

How long ago did you fail the other test? And what kind of job are you applying for? Is is a trucking company? Makes a huge difference here. Did you read the downloadable link I posted above? This will help you understand their Rules and Regulations more.

So what about if you fail a NON DOT Alcohol test? Do you just have to pay the $550?

You must contact DISA they will refer you to a rehire program, submit to a drug and alcohol evaluation then allow you to retake the test six months after enrolling into the program. The DISA rehire program number is 281-673-2390.

Actually, it stays on your record until you complete the obligatory probation period (from 6 months to 2 years) where they test you from every week to every month. The number of times a month and the time duration of your probation depends on what the SAP provider (the abuse counsler) recommends to the MRO office of DISA. In addition, after you complete the requirements, you personally have to request from DISA to be re-instated.

After I pay for everything and complete the nsapn program and send my paperwork to disa. Is my return to work test a UA or a hair follicle?

Has anyone ever had a false positive result and had it removed by retesting by both urine and hair follicle within a week of first test?

I noticed by your answer that you are dealing with this problem now. Can you tell me the process. My son was red-lighted by DISA and we don't know what to do. Do you pay DISA $550.00 and schedule a re-take? Do you have to go to counseling. Could you possible give me details of the process?

I find it odd that you and your son both failed - https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/other-law/failed-disa-745182.html

My husband failed a alcohol test 2 yrs ago but then was retested and rehired with the same company 6 months later through disa... he found a better job opportunity so he once again went to test through disa except this time they redflagged him for the failed alcohol test and sent him to a evaluator that sent him to take 24 free aa meetings. The question is, is this right?. the problem was 2 years ago if they overlooked it the first why do we have to pay for it?

Does he want the job? If so, this is a condition of his hiring. I see nothing discriminatory if it is a policy for everyone who has tested positive.

Is that what you are asking?
