I started by getting little short notes, then people came up to me asking what my favorite color and if I liked this certain guy. I didn't even know who he was. My friends got so involved that one said yes to the guy for me when he asked if I would go out with him! I had to tell him that it was a joke and I wasn't his girlfriend. I wasn't sure because I have never had a boyfriend before. I am a little nervous about it all. When I told him about us not being together like that, I also added that I didn't really know him that well... which was true, but very stupid. It has been 4 months and we have been ignoring each other. I have learned a lot about him and have begun to like him. I told my friend (who has the biggest mouth you could ever imagine!! ) and today at the library she told him, and three other guys right in front of me. I argued and was so embarrassed that I turned red. He was so upset I didn't want to go out with him. Now I do, but I am just not sure AT ALL. What should I do?? Be his girlfriend?? Or go slower than I already have?? Help!!

I can't tell you exactly because I'm a little paranoid but from the age of a 6th grade student to a high school freshman. Does that help?

This behavior seems typical for the age of elementary (6th grade students), just know that everyone wants a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Just be yourself, there isn't any need to have a boyfriend so young. If he doesn't want to call you his girlfriend that is OK too because you have plenty of time for that later. Just make friends.
