I only lived in MA for a month in 2008 but I was a resident for 4 years before that . Should I file as a part time resident or part time/ non resident ?

Part year resident. This is assuming that after you moved out of MA you had no further MA-based wages or income (i.e. you weren't commuting to work in MA from, say, CT).
