Hello,

So, here is my situation

I came from Peru on August 2005 for college on a F-1 status. Finished my undergraduate degree on December of 2008.

Just started my OPT on January 12th of 2009, and have been working at the same company until now.

While I was in college, I worked on campus and also had an internship offcampus. Because of this, I just received 2 W2 forms, one from the school and another one from my internship employer. What forms should I fill?

Also, I read something about being exempted from Social Security and Medicare? However, my employer collects those taxes in every paycheck. What form do I use to get a return on those?

Thank you so much for your help!

On F1/OPT you are exempt from residency for 5-years. You must file non-resident tax return and Form 8843. Your income is not subject to FICA taxes but you must pay federal and state income taxes.
You should ask your employer to refund you FICA taxes. You can refer IRS Publication 519: Tax For Aliens; page 48.
