Do you really need an answer for this one? Your dog is used to running free and you take away his freedom. Put yourself in the same position. Rotts are working dogs that need lots of Rotos and attention. A 10x10 kennel is basically jail to him. If you absolutely have to keep him in a kennel, he needs at least an hour walk and personal time a day. If he can not burn any energy why would he even remotely be hungry? Result, loss of weight and yes, depression.

why is he in a 10x10 kennel? How much time does he spend in there per day? Does he have toys and things with him to keep him mentally stimulated? What kind of serious exercise is he getting? What kind of interaction with people and other dogs does he have, and how much of it does he really get? What does an average day look like to him? Also, how long has it been since the move? Has he seen a vet recently?
