Hi all,
I'm designing a custom engagement ring for my (hopefully!) future wife; I have a beautiful heirloom ring, platinum with a single .75 c marquise center stone, and I'd like to find a matching pair of tapered baguettes to accent it. Can anyone tell me what's an appropriate, tasteful size for the baguettes?
Any help would be much appreciated!

I would recommend around 0.25 / 0.30 to compliment, you will also have to take into consideration the claws that will hold, if they be 2 or 4 etc. I found a nice picture just to give you an idea. The two shape of stones together aren't always easy to get right , but if you can get it right look lovely. http://theweddingnetwork.co.uk/UsedImages/ThickBox_a%20marquise%20diamond%20with%20tapered%2 0baguette%20shoulders%20mounted%20in%20platinum.1. jpg

Hope this helps a little bit.

Thanks a lot for the response! The picture is pretty much exactly what I had in mind. That'll get me in the right direction.
