I have a whirlpool built in oven. '84
The oven door will not go back on, the hook on the inside is broken, so the latch is unable to catch. I have had 3 repair men out and they can't figure out how to get to the inside of the oven to repair/replace this latch. I appreciate answers. Thanks

You may have to pull the oven out and take apart to get to it. Do you have a Exact model number?

On the lower right side of this link is a picture of various major parts of your ve in a exploded diagram. The door and oven assembly is one of them. You can look at the diagrams and see how your unit comes apart. This is all that I have on your unit.
