How does a person get their money back from a Florida Freight Forwarding Company that breached our agreement? I paid them in full to ship my things overseas, but they breached the contract and will not give me a refund. I live in Kansas. Should I take action in Kansas against them or federal court? The company contracted out with other businesses to provide the shipping services. In addition, their contractors damaged my things during the move, what if the insurance does not pay for damages?

What dollar amount - is this Small Claims or a superior court? Also, you can't sue in anticipation of the insurance company denying the claim.
