As some of you may have noticed I'm a big fan of Logmein (I've posted here before about them). Anyway, to use logmein you have to go to their website, so while doing that today I noticed a bulletin there stating that lo and behold they've purchased Hamachi. I've used Hamachi a bit and really like it, and I think that it's a nice complement to Logmein's band of programs, since while they're really similar utilities they're not in competition with one another. It'll be interesting to see what comes of this

Interesting. I'd not heard that. I too am a lover of logmein. I use the freebie and have 5 computers on it. Any services they add to it would be icing on the cake. They're awesome.

Also on the official Hamachi forums they announced it's going to stay free. So that is awesome :)

Oh yeah. To be honest, I don't know why anyone would pay for it. Sure, I don't get file sharing, but it's a simple thing to email stuff to myself when I need a file :D
I'm no Logmein spokesperson or anything, but I'd have to call it one of the best free apps available.
