How do I file taxes for two different states. My husband worked in Ny for most of the yr but just started a job in Indiana. Does anyone know how to do that?

Unfortunately, you did not say which is your state of residency. Based on your question, I would say you would file a part-year return for each state. This assumes you changed residency
However, it could be you need to file a state return for your state of residency, and nonresident return(s) for the other state or states.
Let me know your resident state and I can give you a clearer answer.

If you are present in a state, then any income earned during this period, must be reported to the state.
To your resident state, you must report your worldwide income for the year. Your husband may be resident of NY.
