Can I claim my mother on my taxes?

In looking at the requirements she meets all but the income. Her pension states on the tax form that it paid out $4200 but she did not get $4200 in hand. She gets $200 a month so for a year she would have gotten $2400. The rest was for her medical care plan, Kiaser. The form however does not show that. I have asked her to see if she can get something that shows the actual break down of that income paid out by her pension.

She has been living with my husband and I for over a year. We provide everything except her medical care as she has that.

Can we still claim her? Also can she or does she have to file taxes on that pension she received? Does she file taxes on the SS she receives?

She still has to pay tax on pension and SS so will have to file. As for you claiming her on yours, there are certain areas you can. I got money back for providing room and board for my mom (that is what it is called). She lived with me for l0 years. I hope this helps.

I collect old age security and Canada Pension which are taxable incomes, so I have to pay taxes on them. I imagine it is the same for you.
