Hi, I saw, on late night TV and half drifting off, a movie set in a futuristic society that confronts a "savage" found in a wasteland or abandoned structure. The advanced society had art direction where everything (clothes, furniture, etc) was white. And sex (and bathroom habits) were open but eating was taboo and was done in private.

(A male character got out of bed with the female lead(?) and went to a little room where he began to eat and the female reacted negatively, so he apologized and shut the door.)

The female lead falls in love with the savage and instead of killing him as ordered sets him free in the abandoned structure but he kidnaps her or they are forced to flee and she learns how to rough it (and eat in front of another) before... I don' remember any more!

It had a very similar look to THX-1138, but even cheaper, which leads me to assume it was made for TV and possibly British TV because I remember lots of accents.

I was very young (in the late 70's or early 80s) and drifted in and out of sleep while it aired. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Could be the 1980 TV movie adaptation of Brave New World (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080468/plotsummary).
