I did something stupid I know. I recently was told I needed to replace my old, old, old, GE weathertron thermostat. So I bought a new honeywell rth7500. My dilema is I pulled the wires off the old thermostat without labeling where they came off stupid I know. I need to know if anyone knows what color wires go where. I have a heil heat pump model number ch3036vka2 old I know but works. The wires I pulled off are black, orange, green, yellow, brown, red, white, & blue. The letters on the old GE are f, b, g, x2, y, w, t, o, r. The letters on the honeywell are c, g, y, o/b, rc, r, aux, e, l. Please, Please, Please someone help.

In order to assist you with this dilemma, you will have to provide the following information: Brand name and model #'s of indoor and outdoor units, as well as the terminal designations (R,W,G, etc.) and wire colors connected to them at both units. Otherwise, your best option is to call in a pro.
