I have a Goodman/Amana heating and cooloing unit (Model # PTC073B35AE) that is hooked up to a remote thermostat. What shoud the auto/on of the unit itself be placed at.
It seems to be running too much and my elelctric usage is way higher than should be.

Don`t know where you live but when its cold your furnace, mine and everyone else's furnace will run a lot more than we like,, the tstat should be set to auto/heat, if its set at ,fan on, the fan will run all the time even when the heat mode is satisfied

This is an electric wall unit. Iknow to keep the tsat on auto. I was wondering what the switch on the heating and cooling itself should be set on if it has a remote tsat.
