It depends... how did you obtain your LPR status? If you married a US citizen, it takes 3 years, otherwise 5 years.

+1. If you got your PR through marriage to a USC, and you are still married to that USC at the time, you can apply for citizenship 2years and 9 months from the date you were granted PR status, so February 2010? If you got PR any other way, 4 years and 9 months. Congratulations and good luck! :)

Dccityboy!. does this clock start ticking when you are granted the conditional LPR status (for those that were not married for 2 yrs before filing)or after the conditions have been lifted and you are elevated to a 10 year renewable permanent residency?

I thank you kindly!

Starts at grant of conditional residence, so next year around this time, you are ready to file! The most important thing for that is have evidence of your taxes paid always and no criminal problems.

I got my conditinal LPR on jan 20 2009, so this means,I will be lifting my conditions by way of filing I -751 like how many months before our 2nd anniversary, what's needed (docs when filing), duration before the adjudication?. and when filing for naturalization, will that be 9 more months down the lane after the "full" green card?. whats the wait period here?. howis the process?. I regret the barrage of queries,as I thank you buddy!

You file the I-751 removal of conditions as early as 90 days before your 2nd anniversary of your CR approval (Jan 2011). Need to show taxes filed jointly, evidence of cohabitation and co-mingling of funds (shared income and expenses); so lease or mortgage, bank accounts, drivers licences, credit cards, utility bills, insurance, children's birth certificates, major purchases, travel together, pictures, etc. anything you get in your name at your marital address is useful as is anything in your husbands name at that same address.

You can check the USCIS website for the processing time for removal of condition cases. Yes, your natz eligibility will be shortly after your RC. Hope this was helpful! :)
