Hi, Elibras!

Music, by its very nature, generally will evoke feelings in a person. When we play a musical instrument, it's natural for us to have feelings when doing so. If we play with no feeling, then the music can sound dull and uninteresting to others who might be listening to us play.

Thanks!

Music to me is all about feeling and emotion, or the lack thereof in some cases. Musicians write and play music to try and make others feel a certain way, including themselves. Some want you to feel like they do, or understand the way they feel. Others want the music to change the way they currently feel. Some songs are fueled by the lack of feeling or emotion, which everyone knows is just a front or a cover up. They want others to put on this same front with them. Another example is a party song. The artist wants everyone to party or have fun. Just like in the movies, there is almost always some kind of music in the background to make you feel a certain way. It is all about connection, or disconnection, because disconnection from one feeling, emotion, or way of thinking is a connection with anyone else that feels the same way. I know there are some people that play or sing music when no one else is around. These are people that want to share their feelings and emotions, but fear rejection, or that their lack of musical ability may hinder their ability to be effective. It is true that it's all about presentation, if you want people to feel like you, or to sympathize with you. If they don't want to listen, the musician has failed. I could probably go on and on, but this is just what came to mind. Thanks for the question! It was cool to share my opinion on this!
