My farther died a few years ago, and now my step mother had just died, on speaking to my step mothers children, who where farthered by my dad, the say I have not been left anything in the will, Am I entitled to claim any of the estate.

If your dad had an executor,(you should find out who that is) you will be notified if anything. If not, no you can't claim unless you want to hire a lawyer and contest it.

It doesn't sound like y ou were very close to your Father. You should know these details. Make it a point to inquire fully into the situation.

Hi Tickle, no I have'nt spoke to the rest of the family for over 15 years, due to a falling out, its just my steph brother phoned me telling me my dad wanted me to know when she died, And I can only think that he wanted me to make a claim, knowing my step mother would not include me in any will.

You are not entitled legally to inherit from your stepmother. If your father's estate went to her, then it was hers to be distributed as she wishes. Your father's estate does not stand separate. If she wanted to leave something to you, of course, she could have.

Was that your question, can you inherit from your stepmother?
