I am filing a W7 with my Federal tax return, but how do I file my states return? The W7 states ITINS are for federal returns only. Will I receive a number that I can use for State? Do I send my State along with Federal and W7. Ugh, please help. This stuff makes my head hurt.

Normally you should wait to file state tax return till you get ITIN.

You can and should use the ITINs for the state tax return as well.
