If laser treatment can remove tattoos it should work on your problem. I would suggest a visit to you dermatologist:cool:

Mederma does work but it is s very slow process and requires that you make sure you apply it, at least twice a day to get results. It definitely will not disappear overnight, especially if it is an established old scar.

What I find works quicker is a good peel, but the scar must be fully healed and I would only use it on a smalll area and go with a gentle peel to test your skin's tolerance.

I've used it and it works fairly well but it isn't going to remove the scar 100%. I think the lubricant stuff along with the stimulation of circulation the rubbing does the trick.

If You are dark don't ever use a Laser on are skin!
Lasers burn! The scar will get darker. It did on my tummy! If a dermatologist suggest that he want your money! Run! Meladerma didn't work on a surgical scar on me. I' haven't tried it on my face.

I know of a Harley Street dermatologist who was suggesting laser on my skin. I knew he was only interested in my money and I thank God that I never listened to his sales patter and false promises.

I later went to another laser specialist, who just happened to be a Black lady and she was honest enough to say that even though I was not dark, there was no guarantee of the results and I would be proceeding at my own risk and very much against her advice. So there are some more scrupulous people out there who are not just in it for the money. I know I could not sleep if I knew I caused another person permanent damage to themseves. Our face is what we show the world and it would be horrible to be unhappy about the way we looked.

Well said maharani, lots of dermatologists are horrible people and I have had some bad experiences too where they don't give you the right advice so that you don't get good results and they take your money and you just keep coming back thinking maybe it's just you and after a while the results will show.you keep going and they keep taking your money and you never see results.I totally hate dermatologists.

It worked great on me. Had old, hard scar from surgery. Started using it & now its snow and faded until its not noticeable. Also used it after a skin graft and now it has filled-in more than doctors expected and it is soft. There will always be a scar there but that's because it was an hole to the bone in my ankle. Not sure what made it, was in a bad car wreck and had a big hole in upper part of ankle. Hope this helps - best place to buy is Walmart or a similar store. They seem to be cheaper.
