Well its pretty basic. Black hot power feed form supply to the dimmer. Black hot feed from lights black to dimmer. Tie all White "neutrals" of the lights to each other and ties all grounds togther and use those grounds to ground any metal light fixtures and a metal switch box if you have one
Think of it like a river. The Black "hot" from the beginning of the circuit "river" flows to dimmer switch. The switch is a dam and when you open it "turn" it on the Black "hot" flows to the lights black "hot"
All The white tied together and all the grounds tied together and ground metal light switch box if you have one for switch. Ground all fixtures. Neutrals just go to themselves
