Hi I know this has been asked before. I live in England and have been with my partner for over a year now. We live together and are trying for a baby. After the baby we intend to get married. My 2 and a half year old daughter from a previous relationship does not see her biological father and has not for almost a year. He has not been a good father, is unemployed and does not make effort to contact our child. He has decided that for 'her benefit' he has chosen to walk away from her life. My daughter loves my partner and calls him daddy. We want my partner to adopt my child and change her surname before she starts school next year. What rights do we have, how would we go about this. Any advice please. :(
