Im naturally ash blonde but 2 years ago I dyed my hair brown, last year I wanted to get rid of the brown let it grow out of my hair you know, so I got highlights to make the brown growing out less noticeable, now my hair is brown underneath, bright blonde on the top, and ash blonde in my roots, I'm sick of it and wating for the colour to come out, I've been waiting over a year, trying everything, I need help... is there anyway anything that can be done to make the colour come out and my hair to go back to normal?.

Hi! I'm a hair stylist and I'll try to answer this the best I can.

Your highlights and such won't just "come out". Simply put, if you want your hair to be natural again, it will take some good ol' fashioned waiting. (I know, it sucks.)

I would suggest highlighting the brown hair you have underneath as well. That way you can keep highlighting all of your hair (not just the top section), making it easier to grow out your natural color. Like you said, making it less noticeable.

Good luck. :)
