I just got a letter in the mail, not certified, that the law firm representing the card company I owe, has levied my car. Not actually mine because I still am paying for it through Toyota. Can they take the car. Work is bad enough as I am self employed and without the car Im sunk. Help please. I live in NJ if that helps.

Ordinarily, creditors don't touch property that is liened. You may want to speak with an attorney in your state who is familiar with collection practice.

First, for them to seize your car for unsecured (credit card) debt, they would have to obtain a judgement first. Second, if there is already a lien on the car, they are unlikely to take it.
I suspect you are misreading the letter and that its nothing more than a scare tactic to get you to pay.
