Hi.

I had AVG antivirus before. I did uninstall it before I downloaded 30 days trial Norton Antivirus. Now I am trying to download Kespersky Antivirus which you get free of cost if you are with Barclay or SBC Banking Services. I did download this software but I could not install it because my system says there is a file of previous AVG 8 Antivirus which needs to be removed because both antivirus softwares are not compatible to each other. I tried to find AVG 8 file but there is none in my system. My system says you need to reboot the system because when you uninstall any programme there could be some files left in system. What should I do? Please guide me?

Hi, harry_sandha!

Greetings and WELCOME to the site! I just cleaned-up and moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this forum topic area so that it will get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

It can be a little confusing when first learning how to use this site! Your question will get noticed much more in this forum topic area.

It's also best to not be using chat room acronyms here if you want to be understood the best. This site operates on an international basis, and the person who might be able to answer your question the best might be from a country where they might not understand what you're saying if you use chat speak.

We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.

Now, the thing that you do is to be patient for the best person to come along, eventually, to address the issue about which you've inquired.

Thanks!

By the way to Reboot just means to power off and back on again.
