Check circuit breakers. Is it still plugged in the power receptacle securely? Is the door closed securely? This is the reverse order of checking.

CARTER2636-ALSO check for #1-defective door switchor brokenor out of adjustment OR FAULTY SWITCH::#2- FAULTY START SWITCH;;#3- DEFECTIVE TIMER:: #4DEFECTIVE THERMOSTAT:: YOU will have to test these items with a (VOLT_OHM METER) I
AM going to give you step by step on testing thes items;; #1- DOOR SWITCH- IT IS EASY TO SPOT ,IT WILL BE EITHER A BUTTON OR A LEVER MOUNTED ON THE CABINET < THE (
NOTE ) SET THE METER TO RX! SCALE::
THE DRYER HAS TO BE UNPLUGGED WHILE DOING THESE TESTS:: TO TEST door switch - LIFT THE dryer top off REmove the wires off the switch, clip the meter probs to the terminals ,close the switch with your fingers, if the meter reads ( ZERO OHMS ) IT IS GOOD< IF IT READS HIGH IT IS FAULTY<REPLACE ( RECONNECT WIRES) #2- TO test start switch- REmove the top control panel, DISCONNECT the heavy wires from the switch, Clpi meter probs to the terminals ,Press the start switch button, IF meter reads (ZERO OHMS )SWITCH IS GOOD <IF it reads high it is defective ,replace; replace the wires; NOW lets test the timer switch- Disconnect one of the wires,Clip the meter probs to the terminals, TURN timer to ( NORMAL DRY) IF meter reads (ZERO OHMS) IT IS GOOD IF it reads HIGH it is defective, REPLACE; mHOOK UP WIRES :: NEXT <TO TEST the thermostat- DIsdconnect both wires, clip the meter probs to they terminals< TURN the thermostat switch to anything but ( FLUFF DRY), IF meter reads ZERO OHMS ) THE THERMOSTAT IS GOOD IF IT READS HIGH IT IS DEFECTIVE <REPLACE ::REPLACE WIRES :: I hope this helps you out ;if not return to this post and holler :: Have a good day and GOD BLESS;;

mcarterfresno - if I under stand your problem right <you have power to all the switchs? Have you tested the switches as I laid out in my post above? If not you need to test them as I described :: If you have then try what I am writeiong in this post::{ to test the overload protector and the centrifugal switches on the motor :note -on some modles thes two parts are inside the motor and is not accessible:: You will have to take the motor off and carry it to a appliance repair shop or a motor repair shop:: Now to test the overload protector- #1- remove both wires from the protector and clip the meter probes to the wire terminals:: {note - meter is still set to the rx1-scale;power is off:: If the meter reads {zero ohms the part iis good if a high reading <it is defective -replace :: Test the centrifugal switch the same way :: I hope this answers your question :: If it does -please rate my answer in the orange box below : Have a great day and giod bless ::f.b.e.
