My shower/tub drain has always been problematic, but I usually fave fair warning before it gets too bad. This time there was no warning. I took a shower on Wednesday and everything was fine, took a shower on Thursday and BAM it won't drain. Now its Saturday and there is still water in my tub. I needed to take a shower so I decided to use a coat hanger to loosen up any clog... NOW the coat hanger is stuck in my drain... See the problem is that I live in an apartment, my tub still won't drain, and now I will have to wait until Tuesday to get anyone in to fix it... BUT I really need to get this coat hanger out before they come. PLEASE HELP ME. I tried to take the drain stopper out and I cannot get the screw out.
Help...
Please.

Unscrew upper trip lever overflow plate and remove interior stopper. See if that helps.

Is this the stopper that you can't remove? (see image) If so squirt a little WD 40 on the screw and turn it out. Pull the coat hanger out and snake from the tub wasate and overflow.(see image) No more coat hangers purchase a hand snake. Good luck Tom
