A friend of mine has given his dad his old PC with win 98 OS as the OMs crashed and burned. His dad has an HP deskjet F2280 all in one ptr that is 2000/xp/Vista compatible.

Anyone get any ideas where I can get 98 dvrs for the printer or cheap UG software for the PC

If the printer says its not compatible with 98 there are no drivers for it.

Usually if it's Win 2000 compatible it'll work on Win 98 as well.
I see that HP does not have specific drivers for 98: Select your operating system  (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3390947&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us&submit=Go%20%BB)

Try installing the win2000 drivers if win98 doesn't pick it up automatically.
