I have dial up and when i try to go to u tube to watch videos they take for everto upload so i never watch any videos this gose the same for downloading any music i so far haven't been sucsessful at either i have never had a computer before so i don't know what im doing i recently tried to down load something from oprah .com and it said it was going to take 7 hours :mad::mad: please help i don't know what im doing wrong or if i just need to get a better conectoin

You need a faster connection such as broadband. You can't even stream youtube- ouch! These days you can get some quiet good broadband deals (in the UK anyway don't know about the states.)

I wouldn't recommend downloading random stuff off the internet it is just an invitation for viruses and spyware, if you really must make sure you have a good antivirus software such as norton or AVG if you want that free too.

PS- ALL CAPS IS SHOUTING but if you are new to the web how where you to know! :P

As mentioned above, you would need to get a faster connection

Dial up you would probably be downloading about 48kbs

Nothing you can do to make it any faster except get DSL or Broadband connection
