I'm pretty sure they are the same thing. L and R in chemistry are a way of describing the steriochemistry (a certain way the bonds between atoms form) of a molecule. Seeing as it works as an antioxidant it doesn't really matter what the steriochemistry is it'll reduce (preform the antioxidant action) just the same.

Did you mean to ask the difference between L glutamate and glutathione?

I wouldn't bother taking glutathione as a suppliment it doesn't seem to get absorbed across the GI tract anyway.

They are the same. Did you know you can not take Glutathione? Your body has to produce it.I came across a product 9 months ago that has changed my life. It has a unique composition patent that is generally reserved for prescription drugs. The supplement penetrates the cell and your own body reproduces it's own GSH which decreases yearly, starting in your 20's. If you want it to lighten your skin then it isn't for you but if you want your quality of life to exceed beyond your belief then it is for you!
