I feel like almost everyone my own age is shallow and conceided, I can never get into an intelligent debate about politics, music or life without someone my own age being all narrow minded and shoving their bias opinions down my throat. Trust me, I don't find myself "wise beyond my years" but I know when I say something that is a little more "open minded" I am called ignorant and weird.

I kow I am not ignorant and I see nothing wrong with being a bit weird. But I find it hard to make large talk with a bunch of loud, shallow, narrow minded kids that act like they have Add the sense they will be distracted once I open my mouth.

Thanks!

I find, being less judgmental brings less unnecessary stress into your life.

Try engaging in conversations with those older than you. Perhaps your grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, or perhaps your teachers.

Hi, barbiechick123!

You've used the word "debate" in your post. Debate is where people take sides and generally argue with other to prove their points.

Are you meaning to just argue, or would you like to have meaningful discussions where the ideas and thoughts conveyed can be on a mutually amicable level?

Thanks!

Both, when we're debating, people tend to get very immature and bratty. When we're starting to engage in deep conversations about life, history, etc. they treat it like a jk.

Do you have an clubs for people your age that you could go to where maybe you might find others like yourself who might be more on the same level intellectually that you are?

If you might not have such a club to go to, then you might want to consider starting a club yourself. If you're in school, you could approach a teacher about that you would like to start a certain kind of club.

Are you into any types of board games, like chess or checkers, etc. Those are a couple of types of clubs that I've seen started in schools. There's also debate clubs that can be started. If you have a school newspaper, you might consider involvement with that to find others who will be more on the same level as your intellectual plane.

Thanks!
