OK, so I do grizzly wintergreen. I want to quit but it is hard. Just recently I developed a sore throat and it tough to swallow. I do not swallow this I spit it out. In the back of my throat I get these weird white dots that I can actually pick out with the my hand. Just wondering if anyone knows what this is. I have been chewing for about 5 years. Please help...

You are now experiencing some bad side effects from chew. Your body and mouth are rebelling to the chew. You could possibly be in the first stages of throat cancer. You would be best to quit this habit NOW cold turkey before your body rebels more. A friend of mine loved chew so much he would stuff almost a half can in his mouth at a time. His stomach gave him untold problems. He had ulcers in his mouth and along his gum lines. My late husband loved Copenhagen. He lost several front teeth due to chew.

Some people can chew this stuff for years with no ill effects. Other people end up having ill effects within a few years. Apparently you are one of the people who show ill effects.

If your sore throat does not heal properly after you have stopped the chew, by all means see a doctor. The alternative is not very pretty. Have you ever seen a picture of a person who has lost their tongue to cancer? Not a very nice picture. I hope you just quit and get your health back and not have any lasting ill effects.
