Here is a doozy of a problem. My husband and I own a rental where the dryer is in a room off the kitchen. The people who were leasing to own the house removed the wash machine that was in the kitchen and put in a plumbing box next to the dryer in the off-shoot room. The problem is that they rigged it so it drains out a pipe in the wall and into an unused area of the back yard! Yikes.
Anyway, the location is convenient but there are no sewer pipes on that side of the house. Is it possible to hook up a sump pump that will take the water from the wash machine up into the attic (this is a rambler), run the exit pipe along the ceiling and down the kitchen wall and tie it into the sewer there? We want to do this right so there is no problem when we eventually sell the property. What is EVERYTHING we will have to do.
Thanks!
